POWER PLATE NEWSROOM

The Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) has granted Power Plate International’s newest professional model, the pro6i™ with proMOTION™ Stage 2 accreditation.

Power Plate International is the only vibration training manufacturer to have its entire professional range IFI Stage 2 accredited. The certification of its newest professional model expands the options available to fitness operators seeking accessible vibration training equipment.

“We are delighted that a third Power Plate machine has achieved IFI accreditation. As well as offering one of the most accessible and integrated consoles in the fitness market, the pro6i machine provides even more options for users of every level of physical ability, thanks to its unique integrated cable resistance system,” says Chris Ratcliffe, Director of Development for the English Federation of Disability Sport, which manages the IFI.

This cable system allows users to perform a far wider range of dynamic exercises, both on the platform or on the floor, while still benefiting from the vibrations. A choice of two resistance settings allows the user to progress their workout.

“The cable resistance system is a really exciting addition, for people of all physical abilities, because it dramatically increases the range of dynamic training options. Now users can do upper body exercises that combine the benefits of resistance and vibration, or add load while performing lower body exercises. The opportunities are truly endless,” says Jeff Davis, Power Plate International’s Director of Sales for EMEA.

The pro6I also offers all the functionality of the pro5 AIRdaptive™ model, which is also IFI accredited. It has adjustable air settings for optimum vibration performance, whatever the user’s weight, and the widest range of frequency and amplitude settings, to adapt to the needs of more users.

The pro6i model has coloured tactile icons on the operating panel, colour contrast on the straps and adjustment lever, and tactile icons for the resistance settings, to aid ease of use for users with visual impairments.

It is also supplied with a step to assist user access and offer more exercise variety and has simplified secondary controls and a timer at the column base, for easy access.

While IFI accredited equipment is designed for all users to benefit from, the certification signifies that many disabled people can use the equipment independently.
